Traveling to and in Magdeburg

by car

Magdeburg is located at the crossing of the motorways A2 (Berlin-Hannover) and A14 (Halle/Leipzig/Dresden).

If you come from the south (A14) you take the exit Magdeburg-Sudenburg to B81, which then leads to the city motorway Magdeburger Ring (B71). Here you leave at the exit Albert-Vater-Straße / Universität (B1) and keep following the signs pointing to "Universität".

Coming from Hannover or Berlin (A2) you should take the exit Magdeburg-Zentrum and follow the B189, which then becomes the Magdeburger Ring (B71). Exit the motorway at Albert-Vater-Straße / Universität (B1) and keep following the signs pointing to "Universität".

using public transport (bus and tram)

You can easily get to the campus at two stations (Universität and Pfälzer Straße) with tram and bus lines. At the station Universität you can take the tram lines 1, 8, 9, 10 and the night tram 94, the station Pfälzer Straße is served by tram line 2 and the night bus 93.

If you arrive at the main station (Haltestelle City-Carré/Hauptbahnhof) the tram lines 1 and 8 take you directly to station Universität.

by airplane / train

If you travel by airplane you may arrive at Flughafen Halle-Leipzig, Hannover or Berlin (Tegeln and Schönefeld). From each of these locations you can continue by car or travel on the train.
